FAQ

Your Questions – Answered

Who will be photographing my wedding?

Brijesh is the principal photographer for R&B Photography and will always be present on the day of your event as the main photographer. Alongside him, we also have a variety of talented photographers, some of whom work exclusively for R&B Photography and some who we may use from time to time as freelance photographers. All our photographers are carefully selected after necessary talent and service standards are met.

Where are you based and where are you willing to travel to cover our wedding services?

We are London based photographers, however we have been commissioned on many occasions to cover destination weddings across the globe including the likes of Dubai, Thailand, Portugal, USA and India. During our initial consultation we will discuss all travel arrangements with you and what is included in our packages.

What is the process for booking your services?

We encourage all our couples to pick up the phone or complete our online enquiry form in the first instance. We then would love the opportunity to meet with you, either at our premises in West London or at a location convenient to you. This allows us to show you some more of our recent work, along with full collections of weddings we have covered. We can go through your requirements in greater detail and you will be able to see our full range of bespoke custom made wedding albums, slideshows, canvas prints and more.

What are you prices?

Our packages vary depending on the events you would like covered but our wedding day packages start at £2000. All prices and packages are tailored to your individual requirements. After our initial meeting with you, we will provide you with a full written quotation with our full terms and conditions and payment options.

How do we secure our date?

Your dates will be secured and reserved exclusively for you once you have paid the initial deposit amount. We will discuss the exact payment structure of your quotation at the time of booking and confirm all of this in written format via email.

What cameras do you use?

We are team canon! We use the latest DSLR cameras and a series of both prime and zoom lenses. All our equipment is the most up to date and latest technology on offer from Canon and we are constantly adding to this range. We also use an array of specialist lighting and light modifying equipment which also ensures we can beautifully capture your day in any condition.

What is your style of photography?

We are what we call candid photographers, who will capture your day in the most natural and unobtrusive fashion. We don’t believe in having many posed images, especially as this can disrupt the ceremony and the real beauty of your event. We capture the day as it happens and you’ll find if you speak to any of our previous couples, they will always say they forget we were even there on the day.

We are nervous to be in front of the camera, how will you help us?

Don’t worry is the first thing we will say. We will direct you throughout the portraits shots, where we style your shots according to the creative look we are trying to capture. We will walk you through exactly what we are doing and what the end result will look like, if at anytime you are not comfortable with this, we will move on and ensure we capture the natural connection between you both and between your families.

Do you take group photographs and family portraits?

We believe the real beauty of wedding events is the coming together of two families. Equally the bond that exists between two families and our couples is incredibly important. Grand parents, parents and siblings all play such an important part in our lives and in the run up to the wedding events. We always ensure we take our time to capture these bonds and connections and will try and make time for this where possible.

What is your turn around time?

We aim to have your pictures with you within 2 months of your last event. During our busy periods this may change, however we will always keep you updated on the progress of this and aim to deliver this in the agreed timeframe from our initial consultation.

Do you provide albums?

We have sourced some of the best albums from across the globe. In our opinion your fairy tale of a wedding story is incomplete without a storybook album. The albums allow you to showcase your wedding memories in a beautiful collection of spreads, each custom designed by us with the bride and groom at the heart of the story. During our initial meeting, we will bring along some sample albums and will discuss the pricing of these.

How will we receive our images?

All your images are presented to you in a custom designed USB package. The images you receive will all be high-resolution images, we do not insist on having any watermarks or logos on there, so you are free to use these as you please. We will also create a secure online gallery for you to share with your friends and family.

How many images do we get?

We don’t count how many images we take on the day. After post production, typically a full day event covering both your wedding and reception will have approx 800-1000 pictures delivered to you.

Are all our images edited and retouched?

The images we deliver to you will all be ready for you to view and print. These will have post production work completed on them including exposure correction, sharpness and contrast level adjusted and colour balancing. Images that will be used towards the album will have further enhancements, blemish removal and skin tones corrected if required.

How do you ensure our images are backed up?

On the day of your event, all our cameras allow the use of multiple recording to two different memory cards. Once we finish your event and get back to our home office, the images are backed up on two separate hard drives and off site as well. Once your images have been processed, we keep your files backed up further for as long as possible.

Will you provide all the raw images?

The raw files are footprints of the actual image taken on the day. There is immense care and skill in processing these to produce your final images. We carefully select the best images from the raw files we have taken on the day to provide you with a collection of beautiful images. For this reason we do not share RAW files with our couples under any circumstances.

Are you insured?

Yes, we have a high level of cover for both public liability insurance and professional indemnity, which we can provide for your venues if required.

Are your electrical items PAT tested for venue use?

Yes, we have all of our equipment checked annually and have the certificate to ensure we comply with electrical standards for use within venues. This can be provided if required prior to your event.
